Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu presented sankranthi gifts to the people of the state. Announcing in the assembly he said he is announcing this gifts to see happiness in the eyes on all poor and needy. He said his Govt will distribute essential commodities to poor during Sankranthi.

AP Government according to Chandra Babu will give 1/2 kg Toor Dal, 1/2 kg Jaggery, 1/2 kg palm oil, wheat flour etc. The announcement of new boon for poor will burden the Government with Rs 280 crs and 1.20 crores white card holders will benefit from the scheme.

Earlier Assembly paid tributes to Congress senior leader G.Venkataswamy who passed away today.
