Thullur: Pawan Kalyan has created a conflict situation for his die-hard fans and the people of AP with his stand taken on land acquisition process. Evidently, people of the state and many of his fans are also waiting to see the capital city emerge at Thullur within next four years.
Although, majority of the people are not happy with the state government’s decision to build capital city on the most fertile lands that yields three crops an year, people have convinced themselves to ignore this point keeping in view of urgency of having a capital city and the industrial growth linked with it. Indeed it is very painful to see the farmers are forced to sacrifice their fertile lands for the capital city construction, whereas no politician has contributed a single square yard of land for this purpose. But, people are forced to ignore this point also for the sake of capital city. Perhaps, this is why this sensitive issue is getting mixed response from the people and so was the state government able to collect 32, 000 acres of land from the farmers in no time.
State government has declared the land acquisition process was successfully completed and also declares that it is planning to lay foundation stone for the capital city in the 2nd week of May. So, naturally people of the state start thinking about the commencement of the construction activities.
At this moment, Pawan Kalyan jumps into action and takes the farmers side. He declares that he is ready to fight with the state government until it revokes its decision. Hence, his fans are in dilemma whether to support him or the government. People of the state also are responding differently on his sudden entry. While some welcomes his move some condemns it, because of his odd timing.
Would he come to the farmers’ rescue when the state government declares its plans for land acquisition in Thullur, majority of people of the state might have welcomed him, but not when the works are about to start.
However, still his arguments deserve a thought. If, he could force the state government to confine the capital city to 10 to 12, 000 acres only which he believes is enough, still people of the state may support his fight as it can save precious fertile lands and hundreds of farmers’ livelihood. However, Pawan Kalyan should learn to timely react on any issue, if he is really serious about joining politics.
