Hyderabad: Congress Rajya Sabha member KVP Ramachandra Rao has disclosed that party president Sonia Gandhi will undertake a tour of the AP Capital region soon.

Sonia Gandhi will meet the farmers and find out how they were forced to part with their agricultural lands for the construction of the capital city.

Finding fault with the AP Government for handing over the construction of the capital city to Singapore based companies,KVP said the Government should have first consulted Indian experts and various political parties over the issue.

"What is the purpose of asking Singapore based companies to construct the Capital when there is expertise in India? " he asked.
