Nellore: TDP seems has not learnt any lesson from its bitter experience in the note-for vote case. According to YSRCP senior leader Jyothula Nehru, TDP is indulged in horse trading of YSRCP MPTCs to ensure victory of its MLC candidate Magunta Srinivasulu Reddy in the council elections to be held under local bodies’ quota in Prakasham district on July 3rd.
Jyothula and his party leaders have lodged a complaint against TDP to Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Bhanwar Lal yesterday. They allege that TDP leaders held a camp with 35 MPTCs of YSRCP in Magunta’s office, where they were offered Rs.2 lakh each and were also given Rs. 50, 000 each as advance. Later, they were held captive in Saptagiri Lodge in Nellore.
YSRCP leaders told the CEO that their MLAs K Sridhar Reddy and Anil Kumar Yadav rescued their party MPTCs from the hotel with which the note-for-vote came into light. They appealed the CEO to take stern action against those involved in this case and he is said to be positively responded to their plea.
YSRCP leaders claim that they have total 496 MPTCs, whereas the TDP has only 472 MPTCs. So, obviously YSRCP MLC candidate has to win in the elections, but the TDP fielded its candidate despite knowing that it doesn’t have sufficient strength to win the elections. Hence, it is indulged in horse trading of YSRCP MPTCs,” argued YSRCP leaders.
