Stating that it will cut off ties with BJP if TRS joins Union Cabinet, Telangana TD Legislature Party leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Tuesday announced.

Responding to the statement of Nizamabad MP Kalvakuntla Kavita that the TRS will consider joining the Union Cabinet if they receive an invite from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the TDP leader said that they will not support the Modi government if their principal political rival, TRS is a part of it.

Mr Rao also warned the state not to bring in changes in the Pranahita-Chevella lift irrigation scheme just to entertain Maharastra government as the plans and designs have already been approved by the Centre. Affirming that the project was agreed by the government after going through a prolonged agitation by Telugu Desam and therefore, they cannot compromise on the project, said Errabelli Dayakar Rao.
