Karimnagar: BSc nursing student, Medaboina Sailaja, 17, committed suicide by hanging herself in her house at Mustabad Mandal headquarters on Monday.
When her mother Bhagyalakshmi, working as ANM in Pothugal, returned house in the evening found Sailaja hanging from the ceiling in the kitchen. Bhagyalakshmi immediately shifted her daughter to hospital where the doctors declared as Shailaja was brought dead.
According to the family members, the girl took the extreme step as she was unable to bear stomach pain. Sailja, who was pursuing nursing second year in Prathima nursing college in Karimnagar, went to her mother two days ago for holidays.
A native of Sundaragiri of Chigurumamidi Mandal, Bhagyalakshmi is staying in Mustabad as she was working as ANM in Pothugal. Police registered a case and shifted the body for postmortem.
