TDP MLC Buddha Venkanna offered to give up his post in order to make way for TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh to subsequently replace him. Addressing the media on Tuesday, the TDP MLC demanded ministerial berth in AP cabinet for Nara Lokesh and revealed that he plans to meet Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to offer his resignation along with his demand.
Stating that Nara Lokesh should be elected from Krishna district as it is the native district of NT Rama Rao, Venkanna also took on political ally BJP over allegations from certain members on political platforms. Accusing BJP leaders D.Purandeshwari, Kanna Laxminarayana and Somu Veerraju of faulting with Chandrababu, the TDP MLC said that if it were not for the Chief Minister, BJP would not be able to win even four seats and added that it was not right to criticize TDP.
