Hyderabad: The Met department on Friday forecast moderate to rather heavy rain or thundershowers at a few places in coastal Andhra Pradesh during the next four days. It said light to moderate rain or thundershowers will occur at isolated places in Rayalaseema.
The forecast said isolated rain or thundershowers may occur in Telangana and Rayalaseema on August 8 and Andhra Pradesh during the next three days. During the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Friday, rain/thundershowers occurred at most places in Telangana and coastal Andhra Pradesh. There was rain at a few places in coastal Andhra Pradesh.
Isolated rain or thundershowers occurred in Telangana and Rayalaseema The chief amounts of rainfall recorded (in cm) were: Andhra Pradesh: Chintalapudi, Piduguralla, Kakinada, Dowleswaram, Eluru, Sattenapalle, Avanigada, Udayagiri, Visakhapatnam, Lam, Pagidyala, Atmakur and Porumamilla one each.
Telangana: Miryalaguda, Kollapur 2 each, Mahabubnagar, Thimmajipet, Doma, Nagarjunasagar, Golconda, Kampasagar and Thallada one each. The Met office said the minimum temperatures were above normal by two to three degrees Celsius at isolated places in Rayalaseema. The cloud imagery of 2.30 pm shows convective clouds over some parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema.
