Rajahmundry: The Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams commenced annaprasadam distribution programme in the TTD Kalyana Mandapam here on Monday to feed pilgrims coming for holy dip from various states. The TTD Trust Board Chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy who took part in this programme said, on the instructions of CM N Chandrababu Naidu, TTD has commenced this noble activity here which will last till completion of Godavari Maha Pushkaralu for the sake of multitude of visiting pilgrims.
He said there will no compromise in quality and quantity of annaprasadam that will be served here, he added. Earlier, Annaprasadam Dy EO S Venugopal kick-started the distribution of Annaprasadam programme after formerly performing puja to Goddess Padmavathi and Lord Venkateswara and said that sambar rice and curd rice will be served to pilgrims till July 25. Health Officer Dr Shermistha, EEs Jaganmohan Reddy, Nageswara Rao, Sri Srinivasa Rao, Annaprasadam AEO Shanti were also present.
