Kadapa: A woman poisoned another woman for demanding the return of money that she lent her.
The incident took place in J Kothapalli village of Chintakommadinne mandal of Kadapa district on Monday.
The woman, Hujamma borrowed money from a resident of the village Pathan Najeb. The latter accompanied by two other women - Farida Bhanu and Mahbub Jaan - went to Hujamma's house on Monday to demand the return of the money. They were told that she did not have any money with her. Later, she offered lemon water to them and stated that she would return the money soon.
However, as soon as they reached home they fell sick and were rushed to a hospital. While Pathan Najeb died on the way, the condition of two others is stated to be critical. Suspecting the Hujamma had offered poisoned lemon water, villagers brought the issue to the notice of the police who are yet to arrest Hujamma.
