Youth immolates self for special status, critical

A youth set himself on fire shouting slogans seeking special status to Andhra Pradesh. The incident happened at Congress Poru Sabha meeting today. The youth took the extreme step after dousing himself with petrol at the meeting venue. The victim suffered 60 per cent burns and his condition is stated to be critical. He is identified as Koti and he is undergoing treatment at Ruia hospital in the city. The patient may be shifted to Vellore for better treatment. According to unofficial sources the the youth suffered 100 per cent burns.
