YSR Congress Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday began his Rythu Bharosa Yatra from Dharmavaram in Anantapur district where he visited the family of a weaver named Ramesh who committed suicide recently after being over-burdened by debts. Within 10 days of Ramesh's death, his wife too committed suicide leaving two small children behind.
YS Jagan undertook the Yatra to console the families of handloom weavers and farmers who gave up their lives by the burden of crop loans. Last year, nearly 141 farmers, handloom weavers and agricultural labourers had committed suicides in the state. Jagan who began the fourth phase of ‘Ryhtu Bharosa Yatra’ today launched the Yatra from Dharmavaram constituency. Earlier, the YSRCP chief visited 42 families in Ananthapur district in three phases.
