The BCCI has denied permission to the country's one of the most talked about couples, Team India's skipper Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, to be together during the upcoming India's tour of Sri Lanka which starts from 12th August. The board took the decision to stick to its protocol regarding players' partners, wives and girlfriends (WAGs) and it applies to all the players.
Cricket lovers still remember the menace created by Anushka's presence during the world cup semifinals in which India lost badly. Social media and fans targeted the lovebirds and blamed Anushka for Virat's failure. Also, most of the cricketers have had more than a month's free time after the Bangladesh tour to spend time with their families and loved ones and this is yet another reason behind BCCI's decision.
So this time, players concentration will be more on the game than their partners. Interestingly, apart from Virat, Anushka too has immense craze in Sri Lanka as her previous Bollywood release, Bombay Velvet, was shot majorly in several specially erected sets in Sri Lanka last year.
