AP to get more than Rs.12000 Cr by March end from Centre: Sujana

AP will get more than Rs.12,000 Cr from the Centre by the last week of March, according to Union Minister for Science and Technology Sujana Choudary. The Centre, which has released Rs.500 Cr towards deficit, will release Rs.7500 Cr to meet deficit this year, he told reporters here.

He said in addition to the above, Centre will also release Rs.2000 Cr for Capital city construction, Rs.1900 Cr due under the 13th Finance Commission, Rs.750 Cr towards CST compensation, balance Rs.280 Cr towards Hudhud cyclone relief and Rs.350 Cr for Polavaram Project.

State bifurcation has resulted in a loss of Rs. 12, 000 Cr for AP while Telangana has benefited to an equal amount, Choudary has revealed.
