The latest comments made by Sharad Yadav, the senior politician of Janata Dal party have been the latest topic for discussion among the political circles and general public alike. In response to the government's decision of raising the foreign investment in Insurance sector, Sharad Yadav has called it a case of Indian's obsession with fair skin. This has started the new controversy in Rajya Sabha.

'Here people are awed by fair skin. Matrimonial ads also ask for fair skinned brides. In the entire country there are more dark skinned men. The women of south are beautiful, their bodies...their skin.. We don't see it here. British filmmaker Leslee Udwin must have got permissions easily because she is white,' said Sharad Yadav. Though other MPs tried their best to calm him down, Yadav continued his speech and has asked everyone to take his comments in good humor.

'Doesn't Sharad Yadav have any other job but to talk about the figure of Indian women? His defence is as pathetic as his statement in Parliament. The topic was the insurance bill and I don't know why he had to make comments on women's bodies. It shows the chauvinistic attitude of such MPs,' said Left member P Rajeev.
