Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao who announced salary hikes for the employees of Telangana state, ZP, chair persons, ZPTC and MPTC, members, corporators, Mayors Etc was left in a dilemma when the sarpanch’s demanded a hike in their salaries too.

Demanding a honorarium of Rs.20, 000, the sarpanchs’ chalked out the plan at a felicitation event organized at the Secretariat on Friday but the move has definitely annoyed the Chief Minister who cancelled his participation in the event.

Already, several perks were given to the Sarpanchs’ by the Telangana State Government including cheque power but with the new demand, they might have pushed more than required that resulted in irking the Chief Minister.
