Faced with a severe financial crisis a Bhojpuri singer Vikash Rai committed suicide along with his four family members. The incident was reported from Patna ,Bihar and the deceased identified as Singer Vikash Rai, his father Santosh Kumar Rai (50), mother Sunita Devi (40), younger brother Vishal Rai (16), and sister Beauty Kumari (15),

The younger brother Ravi Rai alias Golu (12) was admitted in critical condition and is battling for life in a hospital.They allegedly committed suicide by ingesting poisonous tablets.

Financial problems is said to be the reason behind extreme step. Vikash's father had reportedly sold his family properties to launch son a Bhojpuri singer. He releases his son albums with own money. But Vikas's career as singer failed and his family was forced to borrow money on credit repeatedly from money lenders. Police have recovered some poisonous tablets from the site.

The death of Vikas came to light barely five days after alleged suicide of Bhojpuri singer Pawan Singh wife. She  committed suicide at their Andheri West residence early on last Sunday. Singh and his wife, Neelam, had tied the knot only three months ago.
