Is the new Andhra Pradesh capital proposed in Tullur and surrounding areas near Vijayawada going to be a tax burden for plot owners and residents?

The Andhra Pradesh Capital Regional Development Authority Bill that is likely to be made into an Act in the upcoming Winter Session of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly has several provisions that won’t go down well with landowners, residents and builders in the capital region.

With the Act coming into operation, the Capital Regional Development Authority will get powers to levy user charges, specific cess and maintenance charges apart from the already regular components of property tax.
