With nearly 45 crores at stake, Nagarjuna's Oopiri released on Good Friday to unanimous positive reviews and even fans gave a thumbs up to the film. Thanks to this overall euphoria surrounding it, Oopiri collected nearly 3.50 crores in both the Telugu states on its opening day.
Oopiri's solid tin continues even in overseas as there film raked in $76,728 from premieres and $210,278 on Friday. And on Saturday, the film had a largely encouraging run at box-office both in India and the US. Oopiri collected $359,414 and took the total to $646,420 making a steep rise of nearly 70% in its collections.
Trade pundits are predicting that Oopiri will easily breach the $1 million mark by early next week and that the film will set its eyes on a $1.5 million in its final run. Meanwhile in India, Oopiri has collected 10.12 crores share until Saturday and is expected to collect huge on Sunday.
All in all, Oopiri will be a hat-trick for Nag and the final range of the film will be known seeing its box-office performance on Monday and Tuesday.
