Power Star Pawan Kalyan has a positive sentiment with leap years. Few of his films like Badri, Jalsa and Gabbar Singh released in the leap years of 2000, 2008 and 2012 respectively were big blockbusters. Another interesting factor is it was first time association for directors of these films with Pawan Kalyan.
This year, 2016, is also a leap year. Will this leap year sentiment repeat for Pawan Kalyan's forthcoming venture Sardaar Gabbar Singh, which is hitting the screens on April 8th with sky high expectations. In addition the film marks, Pawan Kalyan's first time association with director Bobby.
On the flip side, Pawan Kalyan's debut flick Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi was also released in the leap year- 1996. The film directed by EVV Satyanarayana was an average grosser. And only flop film for Pawan that released in leap year is Gudumba Shankar (2004).
In the same year of 2004, Pawan Kalyan was seen in a short cameo in a song in his elder brother Chiranjeevi's Shankar Dada MBBS which was also a runaway hit.
Coming to Sardaar, Pawan Kalyan is doing multi duties for this mass action entertainer. Except for shoot of couple of songs, entire production work is done. Let's wait and see will history repeat for Sardaar or not!
