Long back when Lakshmi Manchu was growing from child to adult, actor-producer Mohan Babu always felt that she will become a prominent singer one day. That's his love for music and signing, but his daughter never made his dream come true. But some things are better late than never.
Known for her peculiar voice and foreign accented Telugu, Lakshmi could surely do magic about it, but she doesn't believed until she has done. Like we said earlier, she has sung a peppy number for upcoming movie "Dongata". "Simple lyrics made the job of signing easy. While discussing about the lyrics with Raghu Kunche, he asked to sing it and finally it became a song", says Lakshmi Manchu. Not many know that Lakshmi was a trained classical singer, who could never get the high note right during that time. However, she learnt the nuances of her voice after going to US.
What is Mohan Babu's reaction on his daughter's singing foray? "Dad called Raghu Kunche after listening to the song and showered praises. Vishnu and Manoj joined him", she avers. Raghu Kunche composed the song with loads of Teenmaar beat, while Varikuppala Yadagiri wrote some fantastic lyrics.
