Ludhiana: Irked at Kanhaiya Kumar’s repeated attempt to defame Prime Minister Narendra Modi on pretext of Freedom of speech, 15-year-old Jhanvi Behal, challenged the JNUSU students' president for an open debate on freedom of speech and expression.
Besides being honoured for her contributions to Swachh Bharat Abhiyan during the Republic Day celebrations by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the high-spirited teenager had also worked on other relevant issues. She had filed a writ with the Punjab and Harayana High Court seeking a ban on circulation of pornographic materials on Social Media.
Miffed by Kanhaiya Kumar’s alleged anti-national stances, as quoted in a media report, Behal said, “What has happened in JNU campus in the name freedom of expression is not tolerable for any Indian. The students were raising anti-India slogans, when armymen were sacrificing their lives fighting against Pakistan sponsored terrorists.”
Further, the 15-year-old also advised Kanhaiya to think twice before putting forth his ideas before the nation. Throwing light on the basic essence of Indian Constitution, Behal said that one must not take advantage of the freedom bestowed upon us. The students' chief should be careful before opining on the Prime Minister Modi who has been elected by citizens of India, she added.
