Good news for the commuters of AP. A crucial 1000 crore project for the development of roads in AP was approved by the Centre.
The Central Government on Monday said that the 800 kilometre long roads in the state would soon be converted into national highways. The central government has said this in an official statement to state government.
The Centre has also approved for a 180-km ring road around the proposed AP capital Amaravathi.
The Centre has also approved to link NH 44 with NH 65 to improve the connectivity to Amaravathi from Anantapur.
According to reports, the current roads would be converted to six to 8 lanes and the process will begin soon after the Government completes the land acquisition process.
