Following Sunday's Kapila Theertham mishap, where eight men were washed away due to the flash floods occurred, AP Minister Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy rendered his condolences to the families.
The flash floods occured due to the heavy downpour on the Tirumala hill at the Kapila Theertham waterfall on the outskirts of Tirupati. The men who were reportedly bathing in the pond when heavy rain in the upper heights of the Tirumala hill brought water down throwing the victims into the holy tank.
The Minister along with MLA Galli Muddukrishna Naidu and MLA Sugunnama met the victims' families on Monday expressed their condolences where Minister Bojjala announced compensation of Rs 2 lakhs to the victims' families.
