Hyderabad High Court gave it's judgement in favor of the AP Government and the Assembly today relating to YCP MLA Roja suspension case. The Hyderabad High Court has pronounced the verdict on Tuesday.
As per the reports, the High court Division Bench, in it's Judgement stated that the Assembly has the power to suspend a member. The verdict is against the Single bench judgement in the High court, announced in favour of YCP MLA Roja.
The Supreme Court lawyer PP Rao who filed a petition on behalf of AP government argued that as per the rules, the Assembly Speaker had taken the decision on suspension and will dismiss the suspension only if an apology is tendered to the House by Roja.
On the other hand, Roja's lawyer Indira Jaising countered that instead of AP government filing the petition, the Assembly Secretary should have filed it. The Court heard both the sides of arguments and announced the verdict on Tuesday.
