A married drama teacher who had an affair with a 14-year-old girl was found out when they were caught on CCTV sneaking out from under the school stage, a tribunal has heard.
Marc Richardson, 34, began a sexual relationship with the teenager in 2014, sending her messages of a sexual nature via text and messaging service WhatsApp, it was claimed.
Last May, CCTV footage showed him emerging from a room underneath the school's stage outside teaching hours, followed a few moments later by the pupil.
He is also said to have told another pupil she was "too attractive to teach", touched her inappropriately and sent her flirtatious Twitter messages.
Mr Richardson, former head of drama at a school in Bury, near Manchester, was arrested but released without charge. He resigned in May 2014.
He denied an affair with a pupil, stating that she was a victim of bullying and that he had been asked to look after her, according to the Daily Mail.
But he reportedly admitted to the allegations concerning the other pupil.
The father-of-two faces being struck off after the National College of Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) found him guilty of unacceptable professional conduct last week. Another panel had earlier found him guilty of allegations of a sexual nature involving the girls.
Mark Tweedle, chair of the NCTL hearing in Coventry, said: "Mr Richardson's behaviour is a serious abuse of his position of trust and shows a blatant disregard for the need to safeguard pupils' wellbeing."
The panel will now write to the Education Secretary recommending Richardson be banned from teaching.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman confirmed that last year, a 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of sexual activity with a child and the sexual grooming of a child.
He added: "A full investigation was conducted ... and the man was released without charge."
Mr Richardson declined to comment, accoridng to the Mail.
