Hanuman chalisa chanting in Guntur district entered the Guiness Book of World Records. As per the reports, the chanting of Hanuman chalisa was done by about 1,28,913 devotees which is a never done before at any place.

Swamy Ganapathi sachidananda received the certificate from Tamilnadu Governor K. Rosaiah which was awarded by the officials of the Guiness Book of World Records .

Guntur MLA Alapati Rajendra prasad and MLC Nannapaneni Rajakumari attended the event.
