It is known that Sanathnagar TDP MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav bid adieu to the parent party and joined TRS. Immediately, he was given minister and currently, he is serving as Telangana state cinematography minister. He has been playing a key role in the party. Before joining Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's cabinet as Cinematography & Commercial Tax Minister, Talasani resigned to his MLA seat and primary membership of Telugu Desam Party too.

Now, a by election has become mandatory in this constituency. Speaking on the issue, Talasani expressed confidence that he would retain his MLA seat by winning the Sanathnagar by-election on TRS ticket. Expressing his confidence, Talasani also said that his victory is going to be a reality even if TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu contests against him in Sanathnagar. Talasani enjoys good support from the people of Sanathnagar since several years. This is his main confidence that he will retain the MLA seat.
