YSR Congress Party MLA Bhuma Akhila Priya on Thursday quipped that Andhra Pradesh government was a 'Robbing Hood.'

Reacting sharply to the hike in petrol and diesel prices due to the imposition of taxes by the AP government, Bhuma Akhila Priya said in the assembly that though the petrol and diesel rates have come down, the Government rubbed salt on common man's wounds by hiking the VAT rates. " Robbin hood robbed from the rich and gave to the poor, but the TDP Government is robbing the poor," she said and termed the Government as 'robbing hood'.

" It is unfair on the part of the Government to increase the VAT rate while the crude il rates are coming down. Farmers are unable to bear the transportation costs," she said.
The Allagadda MLA appealed all the MLAs from the ruling and opposition parties to come together to mount pressure on the BJP-led Central Government to accord special status to AP.
