Thanks to Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj for indirectly saving AP CM Chandrababu Naidu from the national media. Sushma Swaraj-Lalit Modi row has out shined Naidu's alleged involvement in the sensational cash-for-vote and his purported conversation with the Indo-Anglian nominated MLA Stephenson. Had Sushma's apparent help to IPL founder Lalit Modi wasn't hit the headlines, AP CM Chandrababu would have been targeted and the issue would blown out of the proportion.

"For the past two days, Sushma's help to Modi has taken over the national media by storm and continue to rock. Naturally the focus on Naidu's alleged audiotape and his party's cash-for-vote row taken the back seat," commented a political analyst. Although TRS trying its best to divert the attention, it failed to succeed to draw national media attention by large, he added.

It may be recalled that Sushma Swaraj went out of her way to get Modi's travel documents from the British government since his passport had been revoked by the Indian government for his alleged violation of Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA). In connection with the case, the Enforcement Directorate also had issued a blue corner notice against him.
