Andhra Pradesh government representative to Centre, Kambhampati Rammohan Rao, has responded to Pawan Kalyan's remarks. Setting the record straight, Rammohan said that Special Status will be granted to AP and the process is under way and it's not ruled out at yet. "Who said Special Status won't come? Has anyone stated that Special Status won't be granted? There are few technical problems and few pressures upon Central government in granting Special Status and it will take sometime. It might be late, but it will come for sure," said Kambhampati in New Delhi. He simply said that Pawan is not aware of status on the Special Status.
Kambhampati, however, suggested to not to stroke unnecessary controversies. He said that one needs some patience to see the progress, development. "In the past one year, AP has overcome several obstacles and saw growth. It's still long way to go and we're on the job. We have been meeting Central ministers on regular basis. CM Chandrababu Naidu is working hard day and night for the progress of the truncated state. All this is for the well-being of Telugu people but not for our business interests. Pawan might not be aware of the happenings in the past one year," added Kambhampati.
He said that, on average, they met Union Ministers once in every four days. Kamabhamapti said that Pawan's suggestions are welcome and said government is willing to work with him.
