Hyderabad: Gold ornaments weighing about six kilos was stolen from a Kesineni travels bus at Naidupet in the early hours of Thursday.

Senthil and Mahender, working in a jewellery shop at Chennai, came to Hyderabad four days ago with 14 kilos of gold ornaments. They were returning to Chennai in a private travels bus from Hyderabad on Wednesday night.

The duo found out that their bag containing the gold was missing when the bus stopped at Naidupet for breakfast on Thursday morning. They immediately informed the bus driver and later lodged a complaint with the police.

The victims told the police that there are six kilos of gold ornaments in the missing bag. The bus cleaner told the police that a man left the bus in a hurry when the bus was about to start and went away in a car.

Police collected details of the passengers and started their investigation.
