Hyderabad: Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) Draft Bill has been introduced in State Assembly for new capital for Andhra Pradesh, Finance Minister Y Ramakrishnudu informed the House on Saturday.
During a debate, Yanamala clarified that the bill is aimed at land pooling for the new capital. Referring to the special status to the State of Andhra Pradesh, he said it is likely that the Centre may give clarity by March 2015, he added. The bill has to be passed in the House and then get a nod from Governor ESL Narasimhan. On the Governor’s approval of the bill to become an Act, the government will issue a notification for land procurement, he said. All assets and liabilities in VGTM area will come under purview of the CRDA Act, he said, adding that affidavits will be collected from farmers giving land for the capital city, Ramakrishnudu said.
