AP Govt plans to teleacast Godavari Pushkaralu On National Geographic Channel

Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to conduct the upcoming Godavari Pushkaralu in a grand affair. The Godavari Pushkaralu will commence on 14th July and will be a 12 day affair. The AP government designed a 4-tier promotional campaign for the mega event. The government planned to utilize the internet and social media to raise awareness about the Pushkaralu on a global platform.

With an aim to raise popularity for Pushkaralu a la Kumbh Mela, the government has also roped in the National Geographic Channel to make a one hour long documentary on the Pushkaralu. The film will be released in several Indian and foreign languages and it will be screened in several cinemas and telecast in the electronic media and other audio-visual platforms.

Several cultural programs showcasing the richness of Andhra culture and heritage will be a part of Pushkaralu. The government has also entrusted popular lyricists Sirivennela, Jonnabithula and Anantha Sriram to come up with songs that the greatness of Godavari and Andhra culture. These songs will be performed by the legendary playback singer SP Balasubramanyam and CM Chandrababu Naidu will soon release the album.
