Taking the battle between the Chief Ministers of two neighbour states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, to the new high, the leaders of AP are making serious statements. "If necessary, we will set up AP police stations in Hyderabad. Hyderabad is the common capital for both states. According to the AP Reorganisation Act 2014, law and order should be maintained under the purview of governor. After tapping of phones of our CM, other politicians, we lost confidence on the Telangana police and officials," said Labour & Employment minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu.
Atchannaidu went further and stated, "We have all the necessary evidences to prove that Telangana government tapped our phone conversations. The Telangana government underestimated our strengths. It has been testing our patience for a while. We're going to fight out at their discrepancies."
Meanwhile, the Deputy General of Police of Andhra Pradesh Ramudu has met the joint Governor ESL Narasimhan and told him that AP police would take care of the protection of AP politicians staying in the common capital. CS of AP and other officials will be demanding the governor to impose Section 8 of the AP Reorganisation Act. With the battle between the two governments escalating and Centre maintaining stoic silence on the issue, political analysts are keeping their fingers crossed in the matter.
