Prestigious educational institutions Birla Institute of Technology &Science (BITS) has come forward to set up its unit in 'port city' Visakhapatnam. Aditya Birla Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla who met Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday in Hyderbad, promised full support to the truncated state of AP. While BITS already has four campuses in Pilani, Dubai, Goa and Hyderabad, this will be its fifth unit across the globe. What's significant in Vizag campus is that Birla's first international school would be set up in Vizag along with its proposed higher educational institution.

Meanwhile, Mr Kumar Mangalam also expressed his interest to invest in the new state. He has confirmed Chief Minister his wish to set up Cement Factory in the capital city Guntur. Brila will be starting its Ultra Cement Factory at Dachepalli Mandal, Madinapadu of Guntur. Already the company has got licence for 1866 acres in the past.

CM Chandrababu Naidu has directed his personal secretary Satish Chandra to issue No Objection Certificate with immediate effect. He also assured to process another pending licence belonging to Birla group with the Industrial Department.
