CBI sleuths conduct raid on CCI official’s house

Seize Rs 30 lakh, 3 kg of gold and 8 kg of silver

Warangal:
The officials of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted a raid at the residence of Cotton Corporation of India official N Mangeshwar at Excise Colony in Hanamkonda on Thursday. The CCI purchasing officer was said to have worked at Enumamula Market in Warangal between 2004 and 2007 and was facing corruption charges.

During the inspections, the CBI officials have reportedly seized Rs 30 lakh cash, three kilograms of gold and 8 kilograms of silver, besides some documents. At the time of raid, the official was not at home. The raid was conducted as part of nation-wide inspections on CCI officials residences following court orders.
