Hyderabad: US Ambassador in India Richard Varma called on AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu Monday evening at the Secretariat here and discussed the investment opportunities in the state.
Varma and Naidu held discussions on possibilities of collaboration between US companies and AP in the areas of Defence, science and technology, education, tourism, ports and infrastructure sectors.
Chandrababu Naidu told Varma that investing companies would be given all clearances in 21 days from the date of application. "If there is no response from the Government to the investing companies, it should be deemed as permissions given," he told the US Ambassador.
Saying that it is the best time for investments in AP, Chandrababu asked him to send the US Governors to AP to explore the possibility of investing in the state.
"AP has already set international bench marks in almost all fields. It will become a logistics hub for entire South East Asia very soon," Chandrababu told the US Ambassador.
