Hyderabad: In a significant development, the central government is reported to have directed officials to conduct a department-level inquiry into the allegation of the phone tapping made by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
Media reports suggest that there is no clarity on whether officials belonging to the Home ministry or the the Department of Telecommunications will conduct the department-level probe.
It may be recalled the Chandrababu had alleged that Telangana government had tapped the telephone connections of 120 TDP leaders including himself. He also alleged that they have enough proofs in this connection.
