Strange but true girls beat the boys in school dropout cases. The more cases have been observed in rural areas of the state. A majority of the girls are not continuing their education after primary level as they have to travel more than 3 km to attend high school classes.
Crimes against women are on its peak, that making parents reluctant to send their girls to distant places as they are worried about their safety. Many parents think it’s better to keep their daughters sit at home instead of making a point of worries.
MVS Prasad director of Indian Information Service said that media plays a great role in preventing child trafficking and child labour.
He passed a resolution appealing to the media to maintain privacy by not identifying victims in the reports related to trafficking of girl child, as it might have an adverse impact on the future of the victims. AGS field manager D Ashok Kumar and others were present.
