Flipkart to create 20 lakh jobs this year
E-tailer market leader Flipkart announced that it would create 20 lakh jobs in its ancillary and market place services in 2015, most of them in warehousing and logistics sectors
The company has disclosed that most of these jobs would be created in tier 2 and tier 3 cities and sellers of mobile accessories, apparels, home products and small appliances would contribute 50 to 60 of the total jobs to be created.
The company said in a press release that over five lakh jobs were created in the country's E-commerce platform alone last year.
The company has also said that it has been conducting SME training programmes for interrested people in 20 cities in the country in collaboration with Union Labour Ministry to upgrade their skills.
