A week after a magnitude 7.9 earthquake jolted Nepal, three tremors were recorded on Sunday in different parts of the Himalayan nation.

According to the National Seismological Centre, a quake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale with its epicentre in Sindhupalchowk district was recorded at 3.29 a.m. It was followed by two aftershocks of 4.0 magnitude each in Dhading and Gorkha districts.

A 4.0 magnitude aftershock, with its epicentre in Dhadig district, was recorded at 4.25 a.m. and another tremor, having its epicentre in Gorkha district, was observed at 5.57 a.m., authorities said.

“Such kinds of aftershocks repeat for weeks when big quake jolts. So people should not be worried,” said Lok Bijaya Adhikari of the National Seismological Centre.
