Godavari Scheme,Hyderabad City Scheme,Akbaruddin Owaisi
Alleging that corruption had taken place in the Godavari River Water to Hyderabad City Scheme, MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi on Monday demanded that the State Government order an inquiry to find out those responsible for the Rs 2000-crore scam.
Owaisi made it clear that he has irrefutable evidence to prove the corruption charge and alleged that Rs 2,000 crore spent only for one line from Hyderabad to the river Godavari. He also asked when the Godavari water would reach Hyderabad City.
Alleging that there was no drinking water facility to the people though there are four Water Reservoirs in the Old City, he asked the Government to provide drinking water on war-footing.
He alleged that the Government has failed to provide Metro Rail facility to the Old City similar to New City and demanded that the government do the same.
Alleging that the government was hounding small time businessmen in the name of beautification of Charminar, Owaisi asked the Government to give same priority to other architectural monuments like Pattarghatti.
