GVMC Will Go Hitech: GVMC commissioner

GVMC new commissioner

J Pravin Kumar took charge as the new GVMC commissioner here Thursday. On the occasion, Pravin said that he would introduce computer applications as a part of office automation process. Pravin also said that the civic body would use social media to create awareness among the people on the corporation’s activities, programmes and intend to use it to elicit suggestions and feedback.

The new commissioner informed that out of 191 toilets in the city, 125 would be reconstructed. The civic body would maintain strict vigil by implementing biometric system in the offices. Besides, focus would be on completely stopping the usage of plastic.

He also said that regular activities like waste disposal and sanitation would be continued and exhorted the people to support the GVMC in its activities.
