Mahabubnagar: Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) president Manda Krishna Madiga alleged on Friday that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu ignored their demand of SC classification after coming to power with the support of MRPS. Speaking to the media here, Krishna Madiga said that Chandrababu had announced in the 2014 general elections that the TDP was committed to the SC classification.

He stated that the MRPS would protest by obstructing the TDP’s public meeting in Mahabubnagar on April 23. The MRPS leader pointed out that Chandrababu had organised his padayatra in Telangana region with the cooperation of MRPS prior to general elections. He criticised the AP Chief Minister for deceiving Madigas by neglecting the SC classification issue. He requested the district police officials to give permission to MRPS to stage protests in Mahabubnagar city on April 23 as they had given their nod for TDP to hold a public meeting.
