Activists of the Progressive Democratic Students Union (PDSU) protested against the running of unrecognised corporate schools in Vijayawada and demanded the DEO to close them immediately. There are over 50 such schools that have reopened despite notices to pay fines. The PDSU activists flayed the officials for their failure to shut down such schools immediately, as per the GO 1. which says that such schools should not be allowed to run.
