Red sanders smuggler Mani Annan (54) who has links with international smugglers Kollam Gangi Reddy and Mukesh Badani, was arrested in New Delhi on Monday. The arrest was made by the Kadapa Red Sanders Anti-Smuggling Task Force team headed by Rajampet DSP V. Aravind Babu. He was rolex replica watches brought to Kadapa on transit warrant on Tuesday.

He was produced in the Railway Kodur Magistrate Court on Monday evening and remanded in judicial custody for 14 days till June 9. He has been lodged in the Kadapa Central Prison.

Mani Annan, who hails from Chennai, had been residing in Delhi for nearly a decade. He was operating with the nickname ‘Vishnu Bhai’, Kadapa Superintendent of Police Navin Gulati said here. Mr. Gulati described Mani Annan as a bigger international smuggler than Mukesh Badani. He had procured red sanders from smugglers in Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka and smuggled them to China, Nepal, Myanmar and Dubai, he added.
