The state government has decided to hire the services of retired engineers for its flagship programmes - Mission Kakatiya and Water Grid. The government issued orders approving administrative sanction for recruiting 60 retired engineers on contract basis for a period of one year in the panchayat raj engineering department.

The monthly remuneration for diploma holders would be `28,000 and for engineering graduate `29,000.   The retired engineers will be under the control of regular Section Officer (AEE or AE) of the panchayat raj engineering department. They are responsible to prepare estimates scheduling, ensure quality, supervise and complete the works and shall hand over to the section officer concerned under whom he is working.
