Hyderabad nabbed,Teachers running brothel,IT professional,sex worker,brothel in Chaitanyapuri,Ujwala Coaching Centre
Hyderabad: The Chaitanyapuri police on Tuesday arrested an assistant professor and a woman organiser, who is also a teacher, after raiding a brothel in Chaitanyapuri. The police seized Rs 15,000 in cash and five mobile phones.
A 23-year old sex worker, who is also an IT professional, was rescued. Bokka Surender Reddy, 47, of Nallakunta, is an assistant professor at Saifabad PG College and correspondent of Ujwala Coaching Centre. The woman organiser was identified as Rayavarau Vishala Veronica, 38, from Chaitanyapuri.
“Based on a tip off we raided the flat of Ms Veronica at Laxmi Narasimha Nilayam, Chaitanyapuri, and arrested both of them. A 23-year-old victim from Kamareddy of Nizamabad was rescued,” said Chaitanyapuri police inspector Ravinder Reddy.
The police checked the background of the arrested duo to find out if they have been active in the past. “The accused had not been involved in any such previous offences,” said Mr Reddy.
The victim, who was suspected to have been invited by the agent for prostitution, was sent for medical examination. “Once the victim returns from the medical examination, we will take care of her rehabilitation” said officials.
Police have registered a case under sections 3, 4 and 5 of the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act against the accused, and produced them in court.
