In his first visit to Telangana after the formation of separate state, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi will visit the farmers in Telangana state on May 11-12 and leave for Adilabad district for a padyatra covering several villages in the Nirmal constituency.
Rahul Gandhi is said to visit at least five villages in Telangana and meet the families of farmers who committed suicide due to the crop damage, said Vice President of Congress’ Telangana unit, Mohammed Ali Shabbir. He also stated that Rahul Gandhi won't be visiting Osmania University in Hyderabad as this visit was purely to reach out to the farmers in the state.
In the Padyatra, around 10-15k people are expected to join the Congress Vice President. The Party Leaders hope that this visit of Rahul Gandhi to Telangana will rejuvenate the party after facing failure at the last year's elections.
